Creating an enterprise-scale brand system to guide Googlers.

Google Unicorn is an internal-facing group that helps adapt, guide and shape Google products for use by kids and families.

They approached our team to develop a design system that fit within the existing Google enterprise look & feel, while also signifying their unique place within the larger organization.

We created a system that was a “canvas for creation”, combing the child-like creativity the group was helping foster with the guidance around the safety protocols that Google was instituting.

The system was both modular and flexible, giving the Unicorn team all the tools needed to create everything from from quick department memos, to highly-designed external presentations for government regulators.

The system also leveraged a unique color, purple, within the Google brand ecosystem, a first for the enterprise.
